Given the substantial price cut announced for the PS4 on the Asian market, you'd think that Sony might be struggling to sell the console in the region, and you'd be wrong.

During Sony Computer Entertainment’s pre-Tokyo Game Show press conference for the Asian market, the house of PlayStation showcased a graph comparing PS4 hardware and software sales over time compared to those of the PS3 and of the PS2.

The new console is actually selling visibly faster than the PS2, and much faster than the PS3. The same goes for the related software.

Apparently, the price cut is aimed to solidify further an already strong position, even if no precise figures were given. You can check the graph below.
