It was in the air, and Sony Computer Entertainment Europe finally announced it officially on the local PlayStation Blog. Europe and the UK join Japan, Asia and North America with a price drop for the PS4.

The standard 500 GB model of the console is going to be priced or €349.99 or £299.99 in the UK and in Benelux, France, Ireland, Italy, Portugal and Spain. Austria and Germany will have a lucky discount of four Euro-cents, with a new price set at €349.95.

Other countries in the EMEA market also get their own new prices: Australia $479.95, New Zealand $569.95, and United Arab Emirates AED1399.

If you want to know when the new prices will be effective, the answer is quite easy: right now.
