PS4 System Software Update 4.05 Released: Improves the Quality of the System Performance

on October 25, 2016 5:03 AM

Today Sony Interactive Entertainment released a brand new system software update for the PS4, which is now available for download on the PlayStation Network.

The download is a fairly modest 312.1 megabytes, and for once the patch notes don’t mention any “stability.” As you can see below, the update is aimed at “improving the quality of the system performance.”

Yet, there’s a plot twist: it’s simply a different wording. The Japanese version of the patch notes is the usual “with this system software update, the stability of operation has been improved.”  Don’t you worry: there shall be no PlayStation without stability.
