Today Sony Interactive Entertainment made another system software update available for the PS4. The update is numbered 4.06, it weighs a bit over 300 megabytes.

What does it do? Quite simple:

"This system software update improves the quality of the system software performance."

You don't say.

Did Sony Interactive Entertainment move on from its iconic stability? Yes and no. Apparently someone at the western arms of the company got sick of the memes about it, and decided to change the wording.

Looking at the Japanese update notes, they say "with this system software update, the stability of operation has been improved.”

Yep. The dear old stability is still coming, just under another name.

This is the second time this happens for the west only, so I guess we need to create some memes about "quality" now. After all, the new PS4 models have a different rubber feet setup, so they're pretty stable on their own.
