Today Sony Interactive Entertainment released a brand new system software update for the PS4 numbered 4.07, which is currently available for download on the PlayStation Network.

The update weighs only 312.3 megabytes, and the patch notes are as follows, with the usual mention of improvement of the "quality of the system performance," which normally indicates a patch with minor tweaks.

Incidentally, if you're still wondering, this simply appears to be a rewording of the old "stability" updates, as showcased by the Japanese patch notes of version 4.06 and 4.05. Those for version 4.07 have just been released as well, and the old dear "stability" is still there.

It's certainly funny that the change was applied only to the western patch notes, but not so surprising, considering all the memes sparked by the mention of "stability."
