PlayStation 4 users have received an all-new update today which makes a number of changes to the system's software.

Since the release of the PlayStation 5, we have witnessed a few updates arriving for PlayStation 4, but the frequency has slowed down quite a bit. While the last PS4 update was quite a major one, there were not a lot of new features being implemented as such.

The PS4 System Software Update 9.03 is quite a minor update, and Sony hasn't specifically mentioned what it fixes. Here is what the update says:

Well, that's all the patch notes of the updates state. The PS5 also received an update today, and surprisingly it had the same written in the patch notes as well. Whether it is just a regular quality of life improvement update or something which addresses a specific bug is not known, considering that Sony has given such a vague description about it.

That being said, you should still definitely update your console because it is quite pivotal to have the latest system software on your PS4. Not only does it ensure a hassle-free experience, but also prevents any possible security vulnerabilities.
