During Tokyo Otaku Mode’s panel at Tokyo Game Show 2016, Acquire took the stage to talk about their upcoming otaku RPG Akiba’s Beat, coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

During the panel Acquire reveled that following the delay of the Japanese version, the Western localization will be delayed into Q1 2017.

The gameplay shows two new dungeons: One is a the main character’s dungeon which features a urban theme with speakers and wave bars. While the other is a disco-like dungeon that is born from the imagination of an idol, it’s color and mood reflects the idol’s personality.

Additionally it ends with a boss fight where fans can check out the “Imagine Gauge”. Once full, the characters can release a devastating attack.

You can watch the gameplay footage at the Tokyo Otaku Twitch channel (gameplay startsĀ at the 5 hour 46 minutes), keep in mind that this game is still in development.

We’ve reached out to XSEED to confirm the delay.
