Leaked copies of Famitsu revealed the delay of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 to a Japanese release of March 24th, and today Koei Tecmo followed up with a press release, making the news official.

The press release also included a brief explanation on the reason for the delay, which is, as many might have expected, to "further improve the quality of the game."

The press release also included Koei Tecmo's apologies to customers that have been eagerly waiting for the title's release.

The game will launch as Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Venus for PS Vita, and Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Fortune for PS4.
