Today Bandai Namco released a new batch of direct feed screenshots of the upcoming JRPG Tales of Berseria, also including some more information about the setting and main character.

  • Gender: Female
  • Height: 170 cm
  • Age: 19
  • Voice actress: Rina Sato

In the past she had a simple and friendly personality, sensible and loving towards her family. She changed in the wake of a certain incident three years ago.

Her smile was almost completely cancelled, and instead she started feeling anger and hatred.

With her tenderness gone, she burned with unexpectedly cold passion, and she will soon become someone who will greatly shake the world.

Backstory and Setting

The stage is the Holy Kingdom of Midgand, it has some landmass and a myriad of island organized in territories. Even within the same kingdom, there are extreme differences in climate between the north and the south.

The difference in climate also affects the culture, the architecture and the way people live.

In recent year, the world is becoming colder, and especially the northern regions are getting buried in snow.

Midgand has developed ship building and navigation, and actively engaged in trade with various foreign lands, but since the fluctuations of the oceanic currents and weather can be very severe, trade ships always use specific routes, creating a heaven for pirate activity.

From snow-covered cities to tropical islands, autumn leaves and sunsets, situations include more variety compared to previous installments of the series.
