Today Square Enix released a new batch of screenshots of its upcoming action JRPG Dragon Quest Heroes II: The Twin Kings and the Prophecy’s End, that will release in Japan on may 27th for PS4, PS3 and PS Vita.

The screenshots showcase three returning characters, Torneko fromDragon Quest IV and Maribel and Gabo from Dragon Quest VII.

Torneko is a versatile fighter thanks to the tools that he can pull out of his bag, that can be used both at long and short range. He can even heal and use a variety of support effects.

Maribel is also very effective at close range, but shouldn’t be underestimated in melee.

Gabo fights in combination with his wolf, but he can hold his own by himself as well. He can spit flames and stun enemies with his Wolf’s Howl.

In addition to this, we learn that it’s possible to learn useful party skills and party combos by increasing the level of a certain weapon type, raising the effectiveness of the whole party in battle.

last, but not least, during missions we’ll be able to encounter NPCs that will provide “field quests,” giving bonus experience if completed.
