Square Enix released today a batch of new screenshots of Dragon Quest Heroes II: The Twin Kings and the Prophecy’s End, showcasing more sweet gameplay of the upcoming title coming to Japan on may 27th.

This time around we get to see the way you can earn skill points by defeating enemies. Skill points can then be spent to acquire abilities and magic that can be set to the face buttons.

During combat, characters will also increase their heat gauge. When it’s full, they’ll be able to unleash devastating attacks like the hero’s “Giga Break” and the heroine’s “Giga Slash.”

By using a certain weapon, characters can also increase their proficiency in that weapon class, gaining access to weapon-specific skills that can also be equipped.

Last, but definitely not least, the hero and heroine can change class. They start as warriors and can dual wield swords, use a single handed sword or axes. For instance, they can switch to priest, that uses wands, staves and spears. Each class is leveled up separately.
