PS4’s Firmware Update 2.0 Crashes Some Systems in Rest Mode, YouTube App Bugs as Well

Sony’s firmware update 2.0, known as Masamune, isn’t only affecting the Evolve Big Alpha: the update is preventing some PS4’s from awakening from Rest Mode.

There have been widespread reports from both the Sony forums and the PS4 subReddit that after updating the system, putting it in sleep mode causes it to somehow crash and refuse to power up normally again. For now, Sony has officially advised those affected to turn on their systems using Safe Mode.

Some users have also been reporting a bug with the YouTube app after the update, in which the app stops responding during video uploads.
