Rumors swirled all throughout today that Sony was set to announce the release date and price for the PS5. While that has yet to transpire just yet, it seems as though we could soon be hearing more about these details soon enough since the console is starting to appear on more retail site.

The product listing page for the PlayStation 5 has since appeared on Amazon, meaning that it seems Sony is starting to get its ducks in a row when it comes to potential sales for the platform. The page itself doesn't contain any vital information such as a launch date or price just yet, but instead only those details that Sony itself has announced thus far. Furthermore, every current game that has been announced for the PS5 can also be found at the bottom of the page, including Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

Again, there's nothing much new here, but this does seem to indicate that pre-order for the PS5 could be coming within the near future. Typically, console launches that we have seen in the past have gone about in the same way where manufacturers, such as Sony, end up populating their given platform to various retail sites, only for the device to then go up for sale after an initial announcement.

That being said, this page itself has kind of been live for a hot minute now, so it might mean less than we think. Still, a formal release date and price announcement for the PS5 has to be coming at some point soon, especially given that we're already halfway into July. If Sony is still launching the next-gen console later this holiday season, we'll surely find out more soon enough.
