Well, PS5 games are finally being manufactured. How do we know? Well, apparently Gearbox's Randy Pitchford is holding the first physical PS5 game in existence.Yes, the magical, USB drive-losing head of Gearbox has posted a picture of himself on social media holding a boxed copy of Godfall, which is being published by the company. Pitchford claims that it's the very first "next gen retail game in the world," which is a statement that I cannot substantiate. I guess we'll just take his word for it?

Pitchford also shows off the back of the box, the disc, and the inside of the PS5. After seeing these images for myself, yes, I can now confirm that Godfall is indeed a video game. Congrats to the team at Counterplay Games on this achievement.

In all honesty, seeing this retail copy of the game emerging only serves to remind us of how close we are to the actual release of the PS5. Somehow, in a year that has felt so slow at times, this release is really starting to sneak up on us.

Anyway, Godfall is out on both PS5 and PC on November 12. Based on what we've seen of it so far, I can't say I'm patiently awaiting its arrival, but I'll keep my fingers crossed that it turns out better than I'm expecting.
