After what has felt like an eternity, the time has finally arrived for Sony to pull back the curtain on the PS5. After initially delaying its reveal event from last week (in response to the George Floyd protests across the globe), Sony aired its "PS5: The Future of Gaming" event to reveal what it has in store for its upcoming next-generation console, and for the most part, it seemed to deliver what we've wanted.

Sony has just officially wrapped up its PS5 event, and over the course of the roughly hour-long presentation, we learned a lot about what to expect from Sony's next-gen console. While we didn't end up with a date for when the system is dropping or the price, we at least got an extensive look at some of the new games on the horizon for PS5...which, yes, will include a Horizon sequel. Some of the new reveals also included Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles MoralesRatchet & Clank: Rift Apart, the rumored Demon's Souls remake, Horizon II: Forbidden West, and much more. Finally, we also got our very first look at the actual design of the PS5 to cap off the show.

Now that the PS5 reveal is all said and done, we want to hear how the DualShockers community reacted to the anticipated console reveal. What did you think of the PS5 reveal event? What game announcements or reveals got you the most excited? What new announcements took you by surprise? Will you pick up a PS5 at launch? Let us know in the comments below.

Personally, I think Sony put on a solid show that gave us a lot to look forward to on the PS5. While a lot of the game reveals were expected, the first-party exclusives still shows a lot of promise for Sony's next-gen system, and we'll surely know more about the system in the coming months before the holiday season. The big questions that remain are the price and release window, so we'll have to wait a little longer to hear more about that. But, for the most part, I'm looking forward to hearing more about the system and seeing what it can do when it arrives this year.
