PS5 Scuf Reflex FPS Controllers Help You Negate Haptic Feedback

More control over shooting, less interruption by Haptic Feedback.

December 9, 2021

Over a year after its launch, PS5 gets its first set of third-party controllers produced by Corsair’s Scuf brand, coming three different variations including Reflex FPS model that negates the Haptic Feedback.

Unlike the Xbox Controllers that barely get a third-party edition, PlayStation consoles usually receive various modified controllers from third-party companies such as Razer, Scuf, Astro, and some other gaming hardware manufacturers.

The gap for a third-party PS5 controller has been considerable for hardcore gamers over the past year since Sony launched PS5. However, Scuf is now officially the first third-party company that delivers some variations of modified PS5 controllers.

Announced in three variations, Scuf Reflex is the official name for the company’s custom PS5 controllers, featuring a grippier surface and following the overall design language of DualSense.

PS5 Scuf Reflex, Scuf Reflex Pro, and Scuf Reflex FPS Features

The base model of Scuf Reflex comes with four remappable back-paddles, interchangeable thumbstick, removable faceplate trims, a profile switch that saves up to 3 different configurations.

The Reflex Pro model includes all the features above as well as a non-slip grippy surface on the backside of the controller to provide more comfortable handling.

Scuf Reflex Pro

Moving to the most interesting variation, Scuf Reflex FPS is what the hardcore shooter fans are probably looking for. This controller comes with all the aforementioned features as well as a new Instant Trigger system instead of DualSense’s Adaptive Trigger.

So, when you play a competitive shooter like Call of Duty Warzone, you can use Instant Trigger for more accurate shooting and less input latency.

How Much Does Each PS5 Scuf Controller Cost?

  • Scuf Reflex – $199.99
  • Scuf Reflex Pro – $229.99
  • Scuf Reflex FPS – $259.99

Currently, the only available variation is Scuf Reflex Pro which has been sold out already on the company’s official webpage.

The base model of Scuf Reflex, as well as Scuf Reflex Pro, will be launched in 2022.
