A brand new System Software Update for the PS5 was deployed this morning (December 1) and looks to be more standard stability improvements.

You can check out the official patch notes for the December 1 PS5 update right here in this article, but don't get too excited. Unless there were some hidden changes included in today's update, you'll only find the normal stability improvements in version 21.02-04.50.

Fans are still waiting for numerous quality of life improvements to arrive on the PS5, such as support for 1440p monitors and the ability to place your games into folders like you could on the PS4. But it looks like we're going to be waiting a little longer for the features we've been asking for since the console launched a year ago.

PS5 21.02-04.50 Patch Size

As expected, the size of today's PS5 update comes in at 914MB. This is the standard size of a firmware update for the PS5, unless there are some big changes made.

Players will be prompted to download and install the new update the next time they boot up their PS5 console.
