PS5 Section of PlayStation Website is Now Live

Unfortunately, there's nothing to see on the site just yet other than the PS5 logo.

As of this morning, the team over at Sony finally pushed live the PS5 section of the official Playstation Website. Sadly, there’s really nothing to see on the page just yet.

When visiting the PS5 page on the website, all you are greeted with is the official PlayStation 5 logo and a reminder that the platform is launching in Holiday 2020. Other than that, all there is to see is a message from Sony telling fans that they aren’t ready to reveal anything else about the console just yet.

Here’s the full statement you can find on the webpage as of now:

We’ve begun to share some of the incredible features you can expect from PlayStation 5, but we’re not quite ready to fully unveil the next generation of PlayStation. Sign up below to be among the first to receive updates as we announce them, including news on the PS5 release date, PS5 price and the upcoming roster of PS5 launch games.

While it might be a bit disappointing that there’s nothing to see here just yet, this move by Sony surely indicates that a formal PS5 reveal has to be coming somewhat soon. With rumors swirling that Sony is looking to hold an event at some point in February to reveal the platform, plus the fact that fans can now sign-up to get more information on the console, it seems as though PlayStation is starting to slowly get all of its ducks in a row.

It’s also worth noting that just last week, Sony also officially registered the trademark for PS5 as well. While this normally might not mean much, when the PS4 trademark was registered back in 2013, Sony held the reveal event for that console not long after. Maybe the same will happen here with the PS5, too.

We still don’t know just when the PS5 is going to be formally revealed to the public, but one thing is for certain: it won’t be happening at E3 2020. Whenever Sony decides to announce its plans for the unveiling of the PS5, we’ll be sure to let you know.
