PSN Hit by Another Outage: Friend List and More Unavailable (UPDATE)

on October 16, 2014 4:06 PM

The PSN is currently having trouble, and it’s not the first time in the last few months. Services like friend list and parties are currently unavailable, even if the PlayStation Store seems to be available as usual, and online gameplay is active.

The outage is confirmed on Sony’s own status page, even if no further details have been given.

Hopefully the effects of the promised investment in new servers for the PSN will come soon, because they seem to be sorely needed.

We’ll keep you updated on the evolution of the situation.

Update: the affected services are now going back online.
