PSN to Return This Week With Compensation

By John Colaw

May 1, 2011

Ladies and Gentlemen, it looks like the long wait is finally over. The PlayStation Network should be returning this week after spending over a week without service. It looks like Sony was paying attention to everybody’s complaints, particularly those wondering if there would be some sort of compensation, as they have announced that they will be trying to make it up to their users. Everybody will be able to access select PSN content for free, though no details on what will be available have surfaced at this time. PlayStation Plus and Qriocity members will get a free month of the service to make up for the time lost as well.

So what say you? Is it too little to late or is this gesture enough? I’m sure there are some fanboys who would stick by Sony if they started charging you per button press, but I imagine they’re going to have a hard time selling their PlayStation Plus service with stuff like this happening.
