PSP Classic Metal Slug XX Announced for PS4; Coming this Summer

SNK announced that the PSP classic game Metal Slug XX is coming back soon, and it's doing so on PlayStation 4 in summer 2018.

During a panel hosted at PAX East, SNK announced that Metal Slug XX is coming back.

To be more precise, the game is going to be released on PS4, and it will launch this summer. At the moment, we also know that it’ll come in digital form on the PlayStation Store.


At the moment information is scarce, but we heard that more features will be announced in the coming months.

For those unfamiliar with the game, Metal Slug XX was a revised version of Metal Slug 7 released for PSP in 2009 (in 2010 in the west). It was also released as part of the Xbox Live Arcade lineup on Xbox 360.

The original Metal Slug 7 was released only on 3DS back in 2008. One of the main additions to XX was the inclusion of best girl Leona Heidern from The King of Fighters as a playable character.
