NIS America announced today with a press release that the visual novel by Mages. and 5pb. Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness will be released in Europe and in North America this fall on PS4 and PS Vita.

The game, tied-in with the popular anime series and movie, was initially released in Japan in 2015 exclusively for Xbox One, and then announced for a local Spring 2016 release for PS4 and PS Vita. In the west it will be skipping the Xbox One version, and come only for the two PlayStation platforms.

For those who love their physical disks, NIS America also shared that it will be available in both phsyical and digital releases. Interestingly, voice acting will be exclusively in Japanese, with localized text.

Incidentally, the trailer that we've been provided includes a Steam logo, but the press release makes no mention of it, listing only PS4 and PS Vita. We have reached out to the publisher to ask for a clarification on this, and we'll update this post if we receive any relevant info.

Below you can check out a few screenshots, and the announcement trailer for the Western market.
