Double Fine Productions’ cult classic Psychonauts is making its return with its upcoming crowdfunded sequel, while fans of the series will get a smaller taste of its bizarre, wacky universe with the upcoming VR experience, Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruins.
Developer Double Fine Productions has released a new trailer for Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin, which gives viewers a closer look at the upcoming title that will bridge the gap between the original game and the upcoming sequel. Specifically, Rhombus of Ruin will allow players to take the perspective of Raz, the psychically-powered secret agent, to explore a variety of environments in first-person while using his powers to manipulate objects and solve puzzles.
In addition to the new trailer, Double Fine also revealed that pre-orders are now available for the title on the PlayStation Store for $19.99, while PlayStation Plus subscribers get a 10% discount off pre-orders for the game. As an added bonus, all pre-orders for the title will also include a free copy of Psychonauts (the remastered PS2 Classics edition on PS4) with purchases.
Psychonauts in the Rhombus of Ruin will release on PS4 as a PlayStation VR-exclusive title on February 21st, 2017 – in the meantime, you can check out the game’s brand new trailer below:
