Psyonix and Hot Wheels are teaming up once again but this time their partnership goes a bit further than just add-on content for Rocket League.

It was announced today that a toy version of Rocket League with fully-featured remote controlled cars will be launching later this fall with the help of Hot Wheels. The Hot Wheels Rocket League RC Rivals Set will contain the Octane and Dominus Battle-Cars with each car being operable through the use bluetooth-enabled smart devices. In addition to the RC cars, the set will come with a field and ball so that you can play real-life--or as close as you're going to get--Rocket League against a friend.

The other notable inclusion that comes with this set will be in-game DLC for Rocket League. If you were a fan of the first wave of Hot Wheels related add-on content that came to Rocket League last year, then you'll surely find excitement in this announcement, as well. Specifications of the DLC haven't been given as of this moment but more details were promised for later in 2018.

As of now, Psyonix and Hot Wheels don't have physical models of the RC toy set to show off but they have included a rendering of what it will likely look like upon release. You can find this image at the bottom of the page. If you're interested in picking up the set for yourself, you might want to start tucking some money away now as it will retail for $179.99.
