Although Fortnite's arrival shook things up a little bit for PUBG as the game lost a significant part of its community, it has still been among the top 10 games of Steam based on concurrent players over the past few years.
However, the multiplayer is expected to bring back the game's glory days when it used to have a million concurrent players on Steam at its peak.
It actually all depends on how well the development team could support PUBG in the future now that the game is a free-to-play experience.
Of course, we can't expect PUBG to feature million-dollar crossovers with movies and other games like Fortnite has, but players certainly want the game to grow significantly over time.
PUBG Console Update Patch Notes for January 21
- Players became invincible when flying a drone while auto running.
- Wearing the Manhunter Pants caused players legs to become transparent.
As you already know, when PUBG went free-to-play, the developers added the ability to use flying drones in the game to gather intel from your nearby areas and get prepared for any upcoming threat.
However, there was a glitch with the drone that would make players invincible when auto-running on the map while using the drone.
Hopefully, we the new update on consoles, you will no longer face this problem, and players will be vulnerable again while droning.
PUBG is now available for free on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.
