PUBG Getting Console Cross-Play; Season 4 Hitting Next Week

Along with a new season of content for PUBG, players on Xbox and PlayStation will be able to play with each other later this year.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is receiving console cross-play later this year for Xbox One and PS4.

During the Inside Xbox Livestream, Xbox showed a new trailer for Season 4 as well as details on what players can expect in the future. PUBG came to the Xbox platform in 2017 under the Xbox Game Preview program. Most recently, the title released on PlayStation 4 in December of last year. Additionally, Xbox showed a new trailer for Season 4 as well as details on what players can expect in the future.

For Season 4, players will be able to purchase the Aftermath Survival Pass. After obtaining the pass, players will have access to over 100 new rewards that release with Season 4. Along with the new season will be an update that will increase the game’s visual fidelity. The maps will be updated with new areas and secrets for players to discover. The newest season of PUBG already hit PC last month, but console players can expect to play Season 4 next week on August 27.
