During today's Nintendo Direct we found out that Little Mac from Punch Out will be a playable character in the upcoming Super Smash Bros for the Wii U and 3DS.

Little Mac is a fighter so he's a perfect fit for this game. He will appear in both the 3DS and Wii U version of the game. No release date was given.
