The Gardens Between is an upcoming indie puzzle game from developer The Voxel Agents, that tells the story of two friends traversing through time and space and it has just received three new trailers that showcase the game’s various islands as well as the game’s amazing ambient soundtrack.
While the trailers do not depict any gameplay and more or less act as a window into the worlds in which you will be exploring, the overarching tone of the game is clear and entrancing to say the least. With music from ambient musician Tim Shiel, the islands give off a surreal vibe that is relaxing as well as mysterious, similar to Tequila Works’ RIME.
You can check out each of the trailers below.
The two friends, Frendt and Arina, are shown in freeze-frames moving across the landscape. Sometimes puzzled at what they find and other times sitting down to take in their surroundings. Each trailer shows off a separate garden island as well as a different song, and while the game does not release until next year, it sure gives the viewer something to get excited about.
The Gardens Between is coming to Steam, Windows, and Mac in early 2018. You can visit the game’s steam page to check out some gameplay and screenshots.
