Yesterday, Capcom confirmed that a brand-new entry in the Puzzle Fighter series will be making its way to iPhone, iPad, and Android devices, free of charge later this year.

Developed by Capcom Vancouver from scratch, this upcoming arcade puzzle game will receive modernized visuals and new features. Additionally, Capcom has confirmed that that the game will be a free-to-play title.

Puzzle Fighter will feature an impressive roster of notable characters and stages from Capcom intellectual properties. Including fan-favorites like Ryu, Ken, or Chun-Li (Street Fighter), X (Mega Man), Morrigan (Darkstalkers), Frank West (Dead Rising), and much more. On top of that, all playable characters will receive VO and special cinematic moves.

According to the publisher, players will choose one main character each with their unique statistics that range from strengths to benefits as well as two additional characters, which will serve as assistants during your playthrough. Players will then face-off in explosive gem-crushing action.

If you’re interested in trying the game out and you’re on your way to PAX West in Seattle this weekend, be sure you stop by the Capcom booth (#2309) and get some hands-on experience with the title.
