Today, ZeniMax media has announced via press release new details regarding its annual convention, QuakeCon, including information on registration, pricing, and opportunities to snag some sweet QuakeCon swag.

According to the company, for the first time in QuakeCon history, the exhibit hall will be open all day starting Friday, August 10 through Sunday, August 12. Several events returning this year include keynote and panels, which will unveil up-to-date news on all of Bethesda Softworks' titles, as well as an assortment of panels that elaborate on the perception of the gaming community.

On top of that, the best Quake Champions players from around the world will once again return to Dallas and duke it out live on stage in the QuakeCon Open tournament, where the winner will be rewarded with a cash prize of $200,000.

Although official registration for QuakeCon is still not open, the team behind the event has stated that they are working to establish a more accessible registration process for fans and more details regarding registration availability will be available soon.

Despite registration not being open yet, the company has provided us details on pricing. Although general admission is free, those attending who are interested in partaking in QuakeCon 2018 BYOC must pre-purchase a package to ensure a spot in the tournament.

With this year's BYOC anticipating to be larger than last year's, on-site walk-in seating will be unavailable, and those interested in attending must purchase a ‘BYOC Select-a-Seat’ package. Please keep in mind, however, that the 'BYOC Select-a-Seat' package is in limited quantities so act now.
