What’s really interesting in the ad is that between the responsibility of said animator there will be keyframing everything that isn’t motion captured, including “animals, monsters, stunts and vehicles.”
This is the first time that monsters are mentioned in relation to Quantic Dream’s future production, and it’s easy to wonder if this doesn’t mean that the studio has decided to turn the spectacular The Dark Sorcerer demo into an actual game.
The mention of vehicles seems to conflict with that idea, but we should remember that the demo actually featured a modern setting.
That said, there could be several other possibilities: previous hints also point to a sci-fi setting, and that definitely has the potential to fit both monsters and vehicles in the same scenario. Despite their recent production, it wouldn’t be the first time for a Quantic Dream title to feature monsters, as Omikron: The Nomad Soul back in 1999 did include some.
Ultimately, another small piece has been added to the puzzle, that we’ll possibly see on showcase at E3 in little over a month. If you need a refresher on what The Dark Sorcerer is, you can check it out just below.
