If you want to play Quantum Break on PC, but don’t want to deal with the Windows Store, you’re in luck as the game is going to be released on Steam and at retail on September 14th.

Microsoft announced today a partnership with publisher Nordic Games, that will bring the “Timeless Edition” of the game to retail stores with the following content:

  • 5 Game Discs (one-time Steam key redemption required)
  • Making of Blu-Ray
  • Making of Book
  • 1 Soundtrack CD (Audio-CD)
  • 2 Posters
  • Quickstart Guide

The price is a definitely affordable $39.99.

The Steam version will be released at the same time, and will come with all the latest updates.¬†Interestingly, the announcement mentions compatibility with “a number of operating systems,” and Remedy clarified¬†that it’s a DirectX 11 version, so Windows 10 shouldn’t be required.

Update: Remedy clarified that the game will run on Windows 7 and up, but requires a 64-bit OS.
