Quantum Break Is the Best Selling New IP Published by Microsoft this Generation in its Debut Week

on April 11, 2016 8:28 AM

Earlier this morning, we reported that Quantum Break topped the UK sales charts for its debut week but it isn’t the only achievement unlocked for the game.

Eurogamer reported, followed by a confirmation and clarification from Microsoft games marketing guru Aaron Greenberg, that Quantum Break had the best debut week sales-wise than any new IP published by Microsoft during this generation.

The team at Remedy Entertainment certainly did a great job with the game, so it’s nice to see them rewarded by solid sales.

It’ll be interesting to see what they’ll work on next. Quantum Break 2 or Alan Wake 2? Maybe something entirely new? Personally, my vote is on the first option, but I’m sure your mileage may vary.
