Square Enix is continuing to promote its cinematic action-adventure The Quiet Man, and today we get to see more videos focusing on focus mode. Yes. I made a pun.

Focus mode is part of the game’s combat mechanic. When the focus gauge represented by a lens flare on the right moves to the top, you’ll b able to use Focus Mode, which enables some rather brutal finishers.

If this sounds familiar to you (including the fact that the gauge grows when you hit enemies and drops when you’re hit), it’s because it’s very similar to the mechanics of heat actions in the Yakuza series.

Of course, whether The Quiet Man‘s protagonist Dane will manage to achieve the same level of unmitigated charisma as Kazuma Kiryu or not, remains to be seen.

You can check the videos out below. If you want to see more about the game, you can watch a recent trailer with more combat gameplay, the original teaser trailer that was revealed during Square Enix’s showcase at E3 2018, the first gameplay screenshots that were released last week, and the first extended look at gameplay. You can also enjoy some more clips showing the Focus mode.

The Quiet Man is set to launch for PS4 and PC, but a release date has not been announced just yet.
