R-Type Final 2 Release Time & Date - Xbox, PS4, Steam, and Switch

Here's when R-Type Final 2 will be released!

R-Type Final 2 is almost here, so we've put together everything we know on the possible release time for Xbox, PlayStation, Steam, and Nintendo Switch.

A demo was made available for the upcoming title at the beginning of April, but now players will soon be able to play the full thing.

R-Type Final 2

The official description of R-Type Final 2 reads, "R-Type has returned! The legendary side-scroller is back and better than ever with beautifully rendered 3D graphics, exhilarating shoot-'em-up gameplay, and a multitude of stages, ships, and weapons that will allow you to conduct a symphony of destruction upon your foes."

Release Date & Time

The release date and time for R-Type Final 2 is going to vary depending on what region you reside in and also what platform you will be purchasing the title on.

for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X in the Japan region is scheduled for release on April 29, 2021. Steam version will be available on April 30.

Japan

According to the official R-Type Final 2 FAQ, the title for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One and Xbox Series X in the Japan region is scheduled for release on April 29, 2021. Steam version will be available on April 30.

UK & US

Although the Japanese version of R-Type Final 2 is set to release on April 29, the rest of the world may be receiving the title a day later.

The Nintendo Switch Store Page, The Microsoft Store, and Steam all state that R-Type Final 2 will be available on April 30, 2021. The PlayStation Store is not currently showing the game for purchase, only the previously released demo. But we expect the release date to be in line with other platforms.

Unfortunately, the Microsoft Store is the only platform that has given an exact release time of 6PM BST | 1PM ET | 10AM PT.

Steam Games usually release at around 3PM BST | 10AM ET | 7AM PT

Nintendo Switch's support website states that new titles usually release at 2PM BST | 9AM ET | 6AM PT. But the website does also note that third party releases may not be available until later.

PlayStation titles often release at exactly midnight in your region.
