Intermarum’s Race to Mars is an upcoming turn-based, space company simulation game, one that tasks players with building their own space flight company, whose ultimate goal is establish a colony on Mars.

From start-up to cutting edge trailblazer, players will build their facilities, communicate with the National Space and Air Office, scan market offers, and take on scientific and military contracts. Race to Mars, while a “Tycoon”-styled management game, is being designed to be approachable to newcomers to the genre, and is being developed with cooperation with scientists from the Polish space industry company, Kosmonauta.net. The game is being developed using the Unity engine, and set to release to Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android platforms.

Race to Mars is currently seeking crowdfunding support via Kickstarter, with a goal of £30,000 and just under a month to go. For a closer look at the game, check out their Kickstarter video, pre-alpha video and screenshots below; the game is also looking to get accepted on Steam Greenlight.
