About a month ago, retro-inspired beat 'em up Raging Justice received a loose release window of Q2 2018. Today, developer MakinGames and publisher Team17 announced that the game will be releasing on PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on May 8 in a new trailer that also unveils a third playable character.

This new character is named Ashley King, a fifteen year old inner city kid. Ashley is short, but has a "fast and lethal" fighting style. The developers apparently were influenced by action movie heroes when designing Ashley, as they wanted a character that "fit the style of the game yet give a very different feel when playing" according to Lead Programmer Nic Makin. Meanwhile, Lead Artist Jay Howse had the following to say about designing the character:

"We chose a teenager because I wanted something different to the usual veteran cop/ex-military  type. I wanted more of a fish out of water type character, someone who might have ended up in the situation by accident but still manages to hold their own and kick some serious arse!"
