Gung Ho Online Entertainment just announced that Ragnarok Odyssey Ace will be released in Japan for the PS Vita on August the 29th.

Accompanying the announcement, we get a new trailer and a few screenshots showcasing some of the new elements coming to the game: a new set of skills named “Ace Skills” to be added to each class, the “Tower of the World Tree” and “Nifelheim” areas, the new giant bosses “Nidhogg”, “Lord of Death” and “Giant Chief of the Abyss” (not to be confused with the Giant Chef of the Abyss…) and new weapons.  A piece of artwork also introduces the “mercenary companion” system to help those that prefer single player gameplay.

You can check out the trailer and screenshots below. It has to be noted that the press release doesn’t make any mention of the announced PS3 release, so we can probably assume that it will happen on a different time frame. We also don’t yet know when the game will be released in the West, while the publisher already confirmed that it’s going to happen.
