Studio Gravity is finally launching the Ragnarok Online reboot, Ragnarok Origin, in the west, and an English Closed beta Test is coming really fast for the mobile MMORPG.
Ragnarok Origin is a reimagination of the cult Korean MMO experience Ragnarok Online, developed by some of the original team members of the series. Ragnarok Origin is also fit for a new audience, or for returners who might not have as much free time as in their younger days, as the game comes in with built-in auto modes to help out with the farming.
With detailed 3D graphics, improved combat, and reworked quests, Ragnarok Origin is both a new and a classic experience and keeps the usual Classes of the series. You can pick between six character Classes and customize your character from there.

You can access the page to register right here. The applications will be open this September 21, at 4 pm PST. The Ragnarok Origin Closed Beta Test will be held from September 23 to September 27.
Moreover, those who enter the CBT will earn a chance to win a Tesla Model S car. Players will also unlock additional rewards when the game officially releases: 1x Ring For Beginners (Stat boosting equipment), 3x Boxes of Potions (Consumable health, mana, and food items), 1x Gym Pass (Permanently increases inventory capacity).
Personally, I'll definitely be trying out the game when time permits, and might even revisit that Ragnarok Online anime from the early 2000s again, to see if it's as weird as I remember.
Ragnarok Origin was first announced for iOS and Android in South Korea on June 15, 2020. Back then, Gravity stated it had no plans for a Western release yet. Thankfully, things have changed since then, and Ragnarok Online fans will finally be able to immerse themselves in this new promising MMORPG experience. Ragnarok Origin might be the true successor to Ragnarok Online, following the fiasco of Tree of Savior.
