Earlier this month, publisher Adult Swim Games and developer VIDEOCULT announced that their highly anticipated action/adventure platformer, Rain World, is set to release for PS4 and PC on March 28, 2017. Today, five days before its release, the pair have teased the game via the release it's opening cinematic.

The opening cinematic, which is one minute and 32 seconds long, sets the stage for the game, providing a bit of backstory on how you, a slugcat, have been separated from your family in a devastating flood and are now alone in a world full of danger, where you will need to search for food and shelter, and evade predators higher on the food-chain and terrifying torrential downpours to survive. The cinematic itself is notably very lovely, and also quite sad.

Rain World will cost $19.99 USD when it launches. Below, you can check out the new opening cinematic trailer. Additionally, if you want to know more about the game, be sure to click on the link in the first sentence of the article.
