Rainbow Six Extraction was revealed back at E3 in 2019 and is a tactical shooter set in the future of the world of Rainbow Six.

It’s a spinoff of the Outbreak Mode from Rainbow Six Siege and will see players team up to take on a breed of “mutated alien parasites”.

Since the game’s announcement a couple of years back, Ubisoft has undergone a range of challenges, forcing them to rejig their schedule and make a few delays - Rainbow Six Extraction included.

Now, however, those delays look to be done and dusted as we just got plenty of new details during the E3 2021 Ubisoft Forward event.

H3: What Did We Learn About Rainbow Six (INSERT NAME) at E3 2021?

Playing as a three-player squad, you will take part in co-op objective-based missions. In each mission, you should infiltrate a container zone, dominated by Sprawl creatures.

While operators will have the same special gadget/ability that they have in Siege, there will be some new gadgets to use against unknown creatures as well.

Having a precise plan before the act is a key in Rainbow Six Extraction. Losing a mission will end up in losing all your upgrades and progress. So, you need to be careful.

Each map has a number of sub-zones. The deeper you infiltrate the harder it is to deal with the enemies. According to the developers, the game is playable in solo mode as well.

It's yet to be seen, how many Siege operators would be available in Extraction and if the game will have its own exclusive operators or not.

Rainbow Six Extraction will be out on September 16 this year on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC.
