The Division became one of the most-anticipated titles for 2014 when it was revealed at E3 last year, and development on the game seems to have gotten even bigger with Ubisoft bringing in additional developers to assist with the game.

Currently being worked on by Massive Entertainment (owned under Ubisoft as "Ubisoft Massive"), Ubisoft's blog announced that Ubisoft Red Storm will also be joining Massive to assist with development on The Division.

Headquartered in North Carolina, Red Storm is most notable for working on previous Tom Clancy series such as Ghost Recon and Rainbow Six, with the studio set specifically to be working on weapon design and making more "realistic" weaponry. Specifically, Red Storm producer Tony Sturtzel mentions in the post:

"One of the huge benefits that we have is our connections with the local military. We've had manufacturers come in and literally disassemble the entire weapon all the way down to the nuts and bolts, and our guys are taking hi-res photos of those things."

"We probably have unparalleled access to these types of things because of our authenticity department and their focus on relationships. We're not ever gonna let the cat out of the bag on some of the relations we have!"

The Division is set to release later in 2014.
