Rainbow Six Siege Year 5 Season 2 gets its second limited-time event tomorrow. Mute Protocol is a new mode that brings some futuristic abilities to the game.

Ubisoft has been teasing a new event for Rainbow Six Siege for a few days and finally, now we have a full reveal trailer. Mute Protocol is a new limited-time event set in a sci-fi reimagining of the Tower map, where you will play as the cybernetic versions of the regular operators with some new skills and new outfits to take down the enemies.

The whole idea of the new event spins around Mute as he turns rogue and takes control of Tower for some evil purposes. Attackers will stand against Mute and his team to take back the tower, while defenders will do whatever they can to stop the opponent team's infiltration.

Aside from new skins and the new look of the Tower map, there are some interesting gameplay features in Mute Protocol that tweak your movement abilities. In this mode, you can use drones and cameras not only for having a sneak peek on your enemies, but to transport yourself to any location of the map. Simply put, if you are an attacker, you can get into your drone, move to your desired location, and emerge from the drone wherever it is. On the other hand, if you are a defender, you can do the same thing by security cameras.

Mute Protocol will be available for Rainbow Six Siege players as of tomorrow until August 17 across all platforms. The Year 5 Season 2 content has brought Ace and Melusi as two new operators to the game. It's nearly two months since the time Ubisoft officially launched Operation Steel Wave, which probably means more news around the next seasonal content and operator might be revealed later in August.
