At the Rainbow Six Pro League Finals in Japan, the next content update for Rainbow Six Siege titled Operation Shifting Tide has been revealed. As always, the new update will include two new Operators and a new or reworked map.

The two new Operators are Kali and Wamai. The attacker Kali is the first Operator to have a bolt action rifle. With heashots yielding instant kills and body shots resulting in instant downs, Kali is one of the most lethal Operators in Rainbow Six Siege. Wamai is this season's on defense Operator. Wielding the Mag-NET gadget, Wamai can essentially catch throwables and some other gadgets before they detonate; it is comparable to Jager's Magpie but it doesn't outright destroy. He also one of the few defense Operators who have an assault rifle in their loadout.

Similarly to Operation Burnt Horizon and Operation Ember Rise, Operation Shifting Tide will feature a reworked map in the form of Theme Park. While much of it will feel familiar, the biggest change is the complete destruction of the train section. The map also features a brighter aesthetic and more prominent landmarks to make shot-calling more natural.

Since last season's update, Ember Rise, Rainbow Six Siege has recently reached a pretty impressive feat, garnering 50 million players since it launched back in 2015. With Ubisoft's tactical shooter being a surprise hit that continues to keep itself fresh with seasonal updates, the development team has no plans to slow down. In an interview back in August, Rainbow Six Siege Esports Director Wei Yue said that they want to bring 100 Operators to the game.

Operation Shifting Tides will launch fairly soon. You can check out our preview of the new Y4S4 update on the site. If you want to get ready for the new update, Rainbow Six Siege is available now to purchase.
