Ubisoft announced today that Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege: Starter Edition is once again available on PC through Uplay, and is here to stay.

For those who don't remember, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege: Starter Edition was temporarily made available on PC last June on both Uplay and Steam. This $15 version of the game comes with all the modes, maps, weapons and features of the main game, but only gives the player two operators to start with.

The two operators given to the players from the start are random. That being said, the Starter Edition also comes with 600 R6 credits, which is enough for players to unlock two more operators, or spend it on other in-game content. Players can unlock the other main operators by using renown, although the amount needed to acquire them is quite higher than what is needed in the standard full game. The post-launch operators will cost the same regardless of which version of Rainbow Six Siege one is playing.

Ubisoft has recently delved into Year 2 of Rainbow Six Siege DLC, which includes the upcoming Operation Velvet Shellwhich adds new operators Jackal and Mira.

While this deal is only available through Uplay on PC, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege is also available on PS4 and Xbox One.
