Rainbow Six: Siege’s First Expansion Delayed; Operation Black Ice Coming in February
Released at the beginning of last month, players looking for more tactical-minded multiplayer experiences were able to jump in with Rainbow Six: Siege, though the game’s first expansion since release will be seeing a slight delay from previous reports.
Ubisoft confirmed in response to fan questions via Twitter that the first expansion for Rainbow Six: Siege, titled “Operation Black Ice,” will be releasing on February 2nd, 2016, marking a short delay from its intended release of January.
The new content from “Operation Black Ice” will allow Season Pass holders to access the content immediately once it’s released, whereas other players will have to wait one week for the ability to purchase the new Operator characters with either in-game Renown Points or real currency. The first expansion will also include a new map for all players.
Rainbow Six: Siege is available now for PS4, Xbox One, and PC, with the game’s first expansion, “Operation Black Ice,” to release on February 2nd, 2016.
