Compared to the first installment, the second season of Raising Dion featured more action. Interestingly, it introduced us to several new characters with powers. So, it's no wonder that fans are eager to see more of this mysterial world through more seasons.

Raising Dion Season 3 Is Yet To be Announced

Netflix has yet to officially confirm Season 3 of Raising Dion. That said, it's been less than a day since Season 2 of the superhero series dropped on Netflix, so we might have to wait a couple of months to get some news on the show's renewal.

Netflix announced the second season of Raising Dion approximately two months after Season 1 premiered. So, if the studio follows a similar pattern, we'll get an official announcement in the first half of 2022.

There was a massive gap between the release of Season 1 and Season 2, so some fans fear that the show will be canceled. However, the second season's production took this long because of the COVID-19 pandemic, and there weren't any plans on canceling the show. Also, Raising Dion features a decent fanbase, and after looking at positive reception around Season 2, it would be crazy for Netflix to cancel the superhero show.

The Cliffhanger Sets Up the Story For Next Season

The second season didn't conclude Dion's story; in fact, the little superhero's journey has only started. In the season finale, we saw Pat getting even more strange powers, and after embracing his evil side, he willfully merges with the Crooked Man. And as we are on the topic, we still know nothing about the Crooked Man and its origin. So, that's something writers have left to explore in the next season.

Also, in the post-credit scene, we jump into the future and see the grown-up version of Dion fighting Pat and his army. So, that confrontation clearly establishes the story for the third season. And given that the show is based on a comic book, the creators have more than enough source material left to work on the next season.
