After 25 years of making games, Rare is sporting a new look. Their new logo looks great and will be featured on the relaunch of Rare’s site.
“Both Rare and the games industry have seen massive changes over the past 25 years, and right now it feels as if both we and the industry are continuing to evolve at an ever-increasing pace,” offered studio head Mark Betteridge. “With this landmark anniversary coming up, and knowing that we have a really exciting future ahead, we felt now was the time to have a new image more in keeping with an innovative and creative entertainment company, which aspires to be around for at least the next 25 years!”
With a quarter of a century under its belt, Rare has impacted each and every one of us gamers in one way or another. Personally, they have had a huge impact on me with one of my favorite games of all time, Conker’s Bad Fur Day. I’m sure many of you share that same feeling, along with Rare’s involvement with super influential games such as Perfect Dark, Banjo-Kazooie, GoldenEye, and Donkey Kong Country. We look forward to the next 25 years. Bring it on Rare!
