Ratchet: Deadlocked HD Remaster’s Release Suddenly Canceled for “Various Reasons” in Japan

on October 10, 2013 7:50 AM

Sony Computer Entertainment Japan and Asia made a rather surprising announcement today: the Japanese PS3 release of the HD remaster of Ratchet: Deadlocked (known as Ratchet & Clank 4th: Final Huge Battle for the Galaxy in Japan) has been suddenly canceled.

The announcement does not give any explanation for the cancellation of the title, and only cites “various reasons”, concluding with the usual apologies for any inconvenience caused to those that were waiting for the title.

The game has been already released in North America and Europe, so the cancellation of the Japanese release is rather mysterious, especially considering that the localization was already done for the original PS2 release. We’ll keep you updated if any further detail on the reasons is shared.
