Ubisoft announced today that their Casablanca branch, a studio which has helped out on recent Ubisoft games such as Valiant Hearts: The Great War, Child of Light, Rayman Legends, and Rayman Fiesta Run has shut down. Jean-Michel Detoc, the Executive Director of Ubisoft Mobile had the following to say:

"Ubisoft Casablanca has been part of Ubisoft for 18 years, and contributed to a lot of memorable games over the years, especially on portable consoles. Unfortunately, as the video game market evolved in the past few years, we didn’t find a sustainable formula for the studio within our broader network. We thank the Casablanca team for their hard work throughout the years."

Employees were informed last week, and Ubisoft is providing transfer opprotunities for the employees, along with assisstance for those who are leaving the company. Our thoughts and best go out to all effected.
